From 1 hour to 4 hours of walk to discover the volcano that is Lizieux. This mountain is a phonolite rock, composed of multiple leaves of stones piled on top of one another. This stone produces a sound when walked on. Once its been cut, it is used to make a roof of slate. Le Lizieux shelters an abandoned ancient quarry in the beginning of the 20th century.
In Septembre, the fields and the woods around La Costette are brimming with mushrooms, the most sought after being chanterelles, boletes and of course ceps! There are also fruits such as blueberries, for us to make tartes!
